Trendy Budget Airline Launching First International Flights To The Caribbean

As one of America’s longest-standing budget airlines has hit turbulence, there have been a couple of newcomers entering the scene in recent years — Avelo and Breeze.

Both have taken the low-cost sector by storm, forcing both Frontier and Spirit’s hand in radically changing their stringent policies to become more customer-friendly, like the newbies.

Although it has seemed to work out for Frontier, Spirit finds itself in the midst of its second bout of bankruptcy chaos, meaning more routes have opened up for what has become one of America’s trendiest airlines, which is no surprise given it was infused with JetBlue DNA from the outset.

Breeze Airways has been a raging success thus far since its inception in 2021. In just 4 years in existence, this increasingly popular airline is now ready to enter international territory for the first time — and they’re starting with a bang!

Breeze just announced they’re slated to launch 7 new flights from various U.S. airports to some of the Caribbean’s most renowned vacation spots.

Breeze Is Launching Its First Flight To Punta Cana 🇩🇴

Is Punta Cana ever a bad idea? Well, maybe if there’s a hurricane. So far, the coast is clear!

Punta Cana is the Dominican Republic’s crown jewel. Home to posh (and often shockingly affordable) all-inclusive hotels and pristine white-sand beaches, this resort hotspot is here to stay no matter how many other Dominican beach towns claim to be up and coming.

Breeze has certainly taken note and couldn’t be prouder to announce their first venture into one of Americans’ favorite international getaways.

The lucky winner is none other than Raleigh, North Carolina (RDU).

Beginning March 4, 2026, just in time for an epic spring break, Breeze will offer nonstop flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays with fares starting at just $159 one-way.

Breeze Is Launching 2 New Flights To Montego Bay 🇯🇲

Anyone who has ever considered visiting Jamaica has dreamed of Montego Bay.

But hey, I’m a weirdo and visited Kingston and Port Antonio instead to dive into Jamaica’s captivating culture.

Though that’s not to say Montego Bay isn’t well worth a visit — it’s truly a Caribbean icon for good reason.

Home to postcard shores, luxe resorts, and crystal-clear waters perfect for lounging seaside or jumping in with a totally not dorky snorkel mask, it’s easy to see why Montego Bay has pierced through the crowded Caribbean field as a perennial favorite.

Tampa (TPA):

Breeze is set to launch their first-ever flight to Jamaica from Tampa (TPA), so it’s just a short hop across inland Florida before descending over the Atlantic into this cultural paradise.

The inaugural flight to Montego Bay (MBJ) is set for February 11, 2026 with rates starting at just $99 one-way.

Keep in mind, this is a seasonal route, only offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays until further notice.

Raleigh (RDU):

Following Tampa, Raleigh will welcome yet another Caribbean escape. North Carolinians must Raleigh love the Caribbean, huh?

Beginning March 5, 2026, spring breakers can venture off Montego Bay on Thursdays and Sundays with fares starting at just $139 one-way (also a seasonal route).

More Flights To Cancun? Breeze Enters The Chat With 4 New Routes 🇲🇽

As if there aren’t enough ways to visit Cancun, Breeze is adding to the mix.

However, Breeze will have a monopoly on Cancun (CUN) for 3 of the following cities.

Americans’ favorite beach vacation south of the border still has room for new flights, mainly from unserved U.S. cities.

Cancun is world-renowned for its turquoise waters, powdery white-sand beaches, and vibrant nightlife.

Truth be told, even with unprecedented seaweed invasions earlier this year, I still had a great time as there’s so much to experience beyond ooh-ing and ahh-ing from your ritzy hotel balcony.

Despite being such a mega-popular destination year after year, there’s always something new to see or do, whether it be new excursions, new resorts, and of course, trendy restaurants and buzzing bars.

Seasonally on Saturdays, beginning February 14, 2026, from $159 one-way (PVD’s only Cancun route)
